Founder/Director
Sait Tarakcioglu
Sait Tarakcioglu is the Founder and Director of Nil Filmhaus. He trained in acting at Hollywood’s Renegade Theatre and Film School under Chick Vennera. He later pursued his passion for filmmaking at UCLA Extension, where he studied Film Directing and earned a specialization certificate in Film Editing. As a former academic, he has taught courses in film dramaturgy and filmmaking. In 2023, he served as a FIPRESCI jury member at the 10th Duhok International Film Festival. As a writer and director, he is currently in pre-production for his feature film Toz (Dust) and in development for his feature script Späti Berlin.

Damla Ozoral
With a background in international film experience, Damla Özoral develops director-driven projects rooted in a feminist perspective, focusing on power structures, identity, and lived experience. She has worked on the most recent feature film of Oscar-winning director Kristóf Deák.

Ercan Kesal
Ercan Kesal is an acclaimed actor, writer, and director, and a pivotal figure in contemporary Turkish cinema. He gained international recognition for co-writing and acting in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. With a prolific career spanning numerous award-winning performances and his own directorial work, Kesal brings unparalleled experience and artistic depth to Nil Filmhaus as an Advisor.

Ayşe Polat is an internationally acclaimed film director, screenwriter, and producer. She received the prestigious German Film Award (Lola) for Best Director and Best Screenplay for her film In the Blind Spot (Im toten Winkel). She brings her exceptional expertise to Nil Filmhaus as an Advisor.
